Climate Change Effects our Environment

Climate Change

This week, I read a blog about the environment. This blog was written by Julia Jacobo from ABC news, in this blog it talked about what you can do to prevent Climate Change. The main idea of this blog is to educate people about climate change and how it affects us. One idea that I found interesting was that climate change can be very bad for us if we do not make efforts to fix it. I thought it was interesting because it is a huge worldwide topic but also affects small towns and cities. It made me wonder about weather, so I looked up some more information about this idea. On the website Weather events are getting more frequent and more dangerous, I found more information about how storms are getting worse and hurricanes and other natural disasters. One piece of information I found was that climate change is the most serious public health issue facing the world. This information supported the information in the original blog about how much climate change affects our planet. I believe this is very important to pay attention to because it is such a large topic. If every person did their part to limit the damage done to our environment then we will be able to live here a lot longer than the rate we are going right now.

I agree with the idea that climate change affects our environment. Climate change is a big deal whether you would like to admit it or not. Climate change is a very important world wide topic that affect's everyone no matter where they live. One piece of evidence that supports my view comes from the World Health Organization. They state that, "air pollution caused by climate change kills an estimated 7 million people worldwide every year". This supports my view because it is such a big topic and affects so many people it should not be something that is taken lightly or ignored. Air pollution is something that has a large affect on our environment and also our daily lives. Every day millions of people start their cars and release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This is why our air pollution is rapidly increasing, however we have made strides to make our vehicles run cleaner and burn less fuel. This a very important step we need to take if we want to be able to live on this earth for many years to come. This is why noticing climate change and taking the necessary steps to prevent it is so important to our everyday life and should not be taken lightly.

  1. I like how you broke the big chunks of text up with pictures. I do agree that air pollution is a big problem we are facing currently. How can we get other people to realize that climate change is not a hoax and is definitely not fake?
